Up to much this weekend?

I'm off to a London Fashion Week roundup show tomorrow, then if I get back in time I'll probably go for a ride, in order to look this sweaty.

And maybe do some more drawing like this.

Alife Jumper

I really want this jumper from alife, here's looking at you Electrik Sheep! (you should also just go and browse that website, everything's amazing!)

Lou Dalton

The trends starting to come through for the autumn menswear season seem to be largely militarily inspired especially in the cuts, I'm not a massive fan of the khaki/beige colours being bounced around though. Lou Dalton's stuff is an injection of colour into this fairly drab scenario with tartans and oranges being thrown in to lift the garments from their gothic underpinnings.

Topman Design Autumn 2010

My standouts from the Topman Design show, they've gone very military for Autumn but the splashes of colour work well. This T is really nice, a follow on from the tie-dye trend by the looks of things.

This is a great jumper, really chunky and nordic looking.

This is a great colour for an autumn coat and finished off with that belt looks becomes a bit more rambler than military.

S.E.H. Kelly

A new British brand being launched soon (?) heavily steeped in Savile Row tailoring. The brand is staying true to its roots by producing and sourcing from the UK so expect top quality and great workmanship. Looking forward to seeing Book No.1 and the first collection! Check the website here.

Palme d'Or

Gorgeous new Japanese label Palme d'Or

Am loving the trousers and the button down bib tee, that tassled cardigan is amazing too. Really great summer stuff, although apparently you have to be a hobbit to get away with it.

A terrible picture of a drawing I did last night.

An awful pun made to look vaguely pretty.

André x collete x Smythson

I love a good notebook and this one from Uffie's husband (I call him this in the hope that if I say it enough times it'll turn out not to be true and she'll turn up in Leicester needing somewhere to stay) is pretty gorgeous, only available from collette and goes for €60 so unless I win the euromillions I'm not going to be buying one. But still. Look at it. Hot notebook, almost as hot as girls get when you mention that film. Y'know, The Notebook? No? Seriously, talk to a girl about it. They love it.

Rude Boy - Rihanna

Never really been a fan of Rihanna but this is a good tune, she looks hot and the video's incredibly good. All of which makes for three minutes and forty five seconds of pure eyegasm. Love the Haring-esque outfit too. Not being a massive fan of Rihanna, I would never have seen this if it weren't for Amy over at The Kitsch Chronicles (hot girl, good read).

New Vans Vault!!!

These New Vans Vault releases are class, I really really really want a pair. Grey or black, I don't even care!

Quenchloud Backpack.

Not a massive fan of the Quenchloud stuff but this is an excellent backpack and it's yellow. Definitely going to keep an eye out for one of these!

Percival Label launch video

I'm starting to get pretty excited by fashions use of film at the minute (see the Opening Ceremony post too) but this video for the launch of the new British label Percival looks amazing, it really shows off the clothes. The key motif on the knits and the yellow mac are standouts for me. It also features my pin-up Daisy Lowe who put me on to it via Twitter last week.

Mishka Spring 2010 lookbook standouts.

Just one little thing about the style of the photos, does every lookbook have to be shot like this?

The jackets are looking good.

Loving these 2 tees too,

Flat out - Mad Aussie's

Looks amazing though!

Opening Ceremony Spring 2010 - Non plus One

Beautiful video from Opening Ceremony featuring Jason Schwartzman and Kirsten Dunst, directed by Gia Coppola and Tracy Antonopoulos. The only thing that I'd change is that I'd probably have shot it in HD 3D, but that's just preference. Enjoy.

McQueen is Dead, Long Live McQueen.

Yesterday I deleted a post I'd been writing called 'Alexander McQueen and why you should give a shit.' I deleted it because I was struggling to articulate why it was that I loved him and his work so much. He was a hero, he was one of my main inspirations and it was the only place I ever really wanted to work. I was offered a chance to do a placement with him but was offered a job and due to money (lack thereof) I had to take the job instead of the placement, I figured that I'd always have the chance later on. I won't. His no bullshit attitude and huge work ethic made him what he was and it's horrible that he's passed on.

Excerpts from the Spring 2010 3Sixteen Lookbook

These photos taken from the lookbook are amazing, they have an authentic, old fashioned dark style to them. Take a look at the whole thing here.

A bit of a summer repeat.

Washed out summery colours.

Porter Classic

Looks like Porter Classic are releasing some amazing looking new stuff, retro looking fabrics and washed out denim seem to be heading in all over the place at the minute.

4TN Clothing.

Some great new kit from 14 Bike Co, great pieces with some great detail. Although made for biking I reckon it stands up away from that too. Whole set here. Great stuff!

Lack of posting.

I'm afraid my lack of posting boils down to the colliding factors of having LOADS on at work and the main reason of the girl who's free internet I was stealing moving out and taking it with her, how dare she? I mean what a complete bitch.

But in other news I've now booked my holidays which are taking me to Berlin at the end of march and Swaziland (yeah I had to check Google maps too) end of July start of August. Not a bad couple of destinations that, need to get a camera sharpish! Can't really trust a memory thats riddled with more holes than a condom after you've pissed off an ex.

Had my first trip to Leicester's Brighton Beach with a surprise crowd of Tom, Mark, Mike and Sam. Great music, hot girls and enough booze to kill a Scottish town = a GREAT NIGHT. Ended with me shouting abuse at a girl driving one of those anti-rape buses, another high point of my life...

I'm sure y'all can top that with your levels of excitement so comment and one up me. k?
